Anna Banana {Baby Portrait}

Anna

The Armstrong/Carr family were so incredible yesterday! Little Anna was having her 8 month portraits taken, just like big sister, Chloe did when she was 8 months old! The session was done at her mother’s family home…Lonnie and Carolyn Carr’s farm! Can I just say their home is breathtaking! And I can’t wait to do some outdoor photos of the whole family this summer! But even more breathtaking was little Anna! She has the sweetest personality and loved her grandmother’s ribbon basket! Enjoy…

Darin + Kayce {Wedding}

Last July, I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful wedding that just happened to be one of my best friends. Because I already knew the personalities of both the bride and groom it was an absolute blast to photograph the couple! Although they are both ridiculously shy in front of the camera…their friends and family helped to make sure they loosed up and had the best day of their lives! Now I am just waiting to photograph some of their babies…HINT, HINT;) Hurry up!

Wedding Season

Kellie Lyon

As wedding season approaches, I wanted to take the time to let you all see some of my past weddings! May thru October is the craziest time of the year for wedding photographers! And this year is no exception…It is important for brides to book their wedding photographers months in advance and in some cases even a year in advance. Contact your photographer for a consultation as soon as you become engaged! Here are a few tips from a photographers point of view for your upcoming wedding. Look for more tips in the weeks to come!

1. Details matter! Even the smallest detail can make a huge difference in the overalll feel of your wedding!
2. Engagement sessions help your photographer get to know you and your personal style so that your wedding photos will portray your personality as a couple!
3. Schedule a “day after” the wedding session if you don’t want to do a ton of photos the day of the wedding. These sessions are also known as “Trash the Dress” Session but have become more of a very popular post-wedding phenomenon, the Trash The Dress shoot. I mean geez, you spend HOW MUCH on your wedding dress, just to wear it ONCE? So enter our version of the TTD session, that I now call “The Day After Session”. Ingredients: one bride, one groom, a fabulous pair of shoes or two, maybe some props, a few pretty/gritty/funky locations not available on your wedding day, and viola. A fashion-inspired portrait session, with a hint of sass.

Lilli and Addi {Twins}

The McDonald family brought their beautiful baby girls for their first photo shoot on Saturday. And boy was it an event…Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Uncle in tow to help with the feeding, pooping, rocking and nurturing! All in the name of art…and they turned out magnificent. Patience=Perfection. Thank you Jennifer and Greg for letting me capture these precious moments of your beautiful girls!
